In 2042 the world is suffering a major drought.

A group of young researchers is deployed to help find new water reservoirs far from civilization to provide the world's population with drinking water. In an unexpected place they find water, but also ... an unknown, human-like life form.

The small, feisty Pinky Blextone and her young colleagues set out to investigate. What are these mysterious underwater creatures? What is the role of the navy? What does the presence of these beings mean for humanity?
